FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State Director of Athletics Joe Parker announced a number of promotions, expansion of the Executive Leadership Team, and the next evolution of the RAM Life program as part of an overall plan to better serve student-athletes, donors, ticket holders, and partners.
Promotions include six individuals while four others received expanded role responsibility. Parker’s Executive Leadership team has also expanded to include three new individuals.
Chris Ferris, previously the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Sales, Marketing, and Communications has been promoted to Executive Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs. Ferris will be responsible for overall external strategy and have a direct line to stewardship efforts with the Ram Club in sales of priority seating and outdoor club.
As part of this adjustment, working collaboratively with Revel XP, Colorado State’s game day tailgate and group sales partner, the athletic ticket office will lead administration and logistics efforts of all tickets, including premium seating.
In the business office, Matt Klein has been promoted from Associate Athletic Director for Business Operations to Senior Associate Athletic Director/Chief Financial Officer of the department. Klein will also now serve on the department’s Executive Leadership Team.
In the external space, Kyle Neaves, previously the Associate Athletic Director for Communications and Media, has had his role expanded and will now serve as the Associate Athletic Director for the rebranded Strategic Communications and Brand Enhancement Team. In addition, Neaves will lead the department’s enhanced content team. The content team includes graphic design, RamWire, social media, website management and CSU Athletics’ continued media partnerships. In close collaboration with RamVision and University Marketing and Communications, the Athletic Department’s content team remains charged with deep storytelling and content development with local, regional and national distribution. Neaves will also now serve on the department’s Executive Leadership Team.
In addition to Klein and Neaves, Director of Student-Athlete Support Services Becky Orr will also join the now 11-member Executive Leadership Team. Orr and SASS directly report to the Office of the Provost.
Kim Mbadinga-Nzamba, previously the Assistant Director of Diversity and Inclusion, has been promoted to Director of Inclusive Excellence and will lead the department’s inclusive excellence initiatives. Mbadinga-Nzamba will continue to have a direct reporting line to the Office of the Vice President of Inclusive Excellence.
The RAM Life program is also expanding under the direction of Ricky Santo. Originally created by the football staff in 2020, Santo has led the program since 2021 and has grown it into a program to serve all 350-plus Ram student-athletes beginning this fall. The RAM Life program – an acronym for Real and Meaningful – aims to provide student-athletes with professional work opportunities and exposure to potential future employers through job fairs, internships, weekly speakers, and more.
In marketing, Brynne Davis, previously the Director of Community Engagement and Marketing, has been promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing. Davis will continue to oversee and develop the plan for CSU’s in-venue fan experience, while integrating with the Strategic Communications and Brand Enhancement team for paid marketing opportunities and digital advertising strategy.
Patrick Krza, Director of Community and Engagement and Fan Experience, has also had his role expanded and will now support the department’s engagement efforts with all Ram Legends, Colorado State’s letterwinner’s organization.
David Sietsma, previously the Ticket Manager for Sales and Operations, has been promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Ticket Sales and Operations and will lead the ticket office operations. Dustin German has also been elevated to Senior Ticket Manager for Sales and Operations. Working collaboratively with Revel XP, Colorado State’s game day tailgate and group sales partner, the ticket office will lead administration and logistics efforts of all tickets, including premium seating.
