“Organizations are impacted by marketing fraud, they’re impacted by inventory hoarding, but the folks that are actually making use of the tooling are still heavily weighted in security,” she says.
Carielli says bot management is more than a security problem, and she advises firms to break down the silos between the different teams concerned with bots. She suggests that they “get together and make sure that when they purchase a bot solution, that they are aligned on the whole range of use cases that are out there.”
In a video interview with Information Security Media Group, Carielli discusses:
- What security leaders require from bot management solutions and how vendors are responding to those needs;
- Effective bot management tooling strategies;
- Bot management predictions for the rest of 2022.
Carielli advises security and risk professionals on application security for Forrester, with a particular emphasis on collaboration among security and risk, application development, operations and business teams. Her research covers topics such as proactive security design, security testing in the software delivery life cycle, protection of applications in production environments, and remediation of hardware and software flaws.
