GROUND / WORK is an interdisciplinary communications firm that works with architects, designers, landscape architects, and manufacturers on press, editorial, social media, business development, executive coaching, and other internal and external initiatives. We are looking for a highly motivated Communications / Editorial Specialist to support the maintenance of projects/accounts across the company’s portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
Editorial: Support editorial initiatives for clients, including: project descriptions, award submissions, leadership bios, pitch decks.
Business Development: Research opportunities for clients to pursue new business, identifying potential clients and key decision makers.
Press Research: Keep up to date with architecture, design, culture, travel media / writers / editors; read through periodicals to maintain a strong knowledge of current events, trends, and comparable firms, designers, and institutions.
Press Materials: Work with project teams to create press materials for client projects: press releases, texts, images, captions, pitch decks, media kits.
Social Media: Support implementation of client and client social media initiatives: write copy, identify imagery.
Marketing: Support website and email marketing platform development / implementation for client projects and web / marketing initiatives.
Awards: Work with research to keep up to date on important awards and deadlines; draft copy and gather materials for submission process.
Design: Help develop materials for client presentations, portfolios and other collateral. Website and email marketing design work.
Database: Support the maintenance of company rolodex, ensuring press contacts are up to date and new contacts are added regularly with important notes.
Media Reports: Help maintain media reports for client projects.
Press Pitching: Devise pitches, help implement media strategies, and identify trends for client projects. Pitch media and form relationships with key writers / editors.
Clipping: Work with Researcher to create and maintain clips for client projects.
