Upcoming web drama “Seasons of Blossom” (working title) shared its first teaser!
Warning: Mentions of suicide below.
Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, drama “Seasons of Blossom” tells the story of love and friendship of 18-year-old youths at Seoyeon High School. The omniverse-style story focuses on a different main character for each of the four seasons.
“Seasons of Blossom” will depict the butterfly effect that occurs when an incident from six years ago of a boy committing suicide and a girl being unable to stop him begins to affect the current teens living in the present. The story will also highlight the concerns and growth of young adults who cannot be honest and hide themselves.
Seo Ji Hoon plays Lee Ha Min, who appears cheerful on the outside but can be quite cynical, while So Ju Yeon portrays the timid but strong Han So Mang.
The newly released clip shares a glimpse of Lee Ha Min and Han So Mang’s relationship. Han So Mang grabs Lee Ha Min’s hand and races into the pouring rain. She asks, “You’ve never played in the rain when you were little, have you?” Her cheerfulness is contagious, and he finds himself starting to smile too.
The scene shifts to the two of them in an art studio. Lee Ha Min keeps a steady gaze on her, and his voiceover asks, “Why do you draw?” In response, Han So Mang comments, “I’m just drawing it because I like to. Isn’t there anything you like?” Lee Ha Min remarks, “I think you’re really different from me. All this time, I’ve been thinking about things I have to do,” shedding a light on his personality.
The two characters grow closer and closer, delighting fans with their romantic chemistry. Towards the end of the video, Lee Ha Min says, “Thank you for taking me into the rain,” hinting that rain has a significant meaning in their relationship.
“Seasons of Blossom” will premiere on September 21 at 5 p.m. KST. Check out the full teaser below!
