Liberty Bank has announced the hiring of Harry Gunsallus as senior vice president, digital strategy officer and chief operating officer of digital banking.
Gunsallus will oversee digital strategy, build and maintain fintech partnerships and develop an integrated and compelling suite of products and services to support Liberty’s soon-to-be-launched, stand-alone digital bank.
He brings a wealth of executive experience in innovation, technology, automation and artificial intelligence. Most recently, Gunsallus was with BankSouth in Georgia where he served as chief innovation officer. He is a leading subject matter expert in helping financial institutions grow through innovation and project implementation.
Prior to BankSouth, Gunsallus was president and CEO of SRP Federal Credit Union in South Carolina and executive vice president at Redstone Federal Credit Union.
In addition to Gunsallus, Liberty Bank recently hired Amy Apuzzo, vice president and digital marketing manager. Apuzzo came to Liberty Bank from BM Technologies, formerly BankMobile, where she spent 12 years in various marketing roles.
Scelba gains positions with Ion Bank July 1
Ion Bank’s board of directors recently announced that David D. Scelba has been appointed as an Ion Financial, MHC trustee and Ion Bank director effective with the purchase of Lincoln 1st on July 1.
Scelba was a member of the board of directors for the past four years and will contribute to the direction and strategy for Ion Financial, MHC and its subsidiaries Ion Bank and Ion Investments.
Scelba is president of Scelba Consulting. He is known in his community for his leadership, mentorship and civic involvement and is an inductee in the New Jersey Advertising Hall of Fame.
